Amapiano” is a new movement of electronic music born in South Africa. Teno Afrika is the project of 21 year old Lutendo Raduvha, who has joined the mainstream sound that has evolved from the underground to the national mainstream over the past five years. The music is sophisticated and accessible to listeners who are new to “amapiano” music. This time, Amapiano features collaborations with DJ Sumbody and Cassper Nyovest, as well as the influence of Kwaito, whose lyrical dribbling on Focalistic has earned him the nickname “the Maradona of Pretoria”. The group’s talent is diverse, including songs with di Bacardi’s characteristic off-tempo stride.
