Hieronymus Praetorius was a North German, Late Renaissance musician. Although his relation to the famous Michael Praetorius is unknown, he was the organist for life at St. Jacobi’s Church in Hamburg and left numerous religious works, including a number of masses. Many of his works use the progressive style of Venetian music, and most of them are in the form of “double choirs,” in which several choirs take turns singing together. This “Feast of the Holy Trinity” Mass is a magnificent work with complex counterpoint in the organ part.Naxos Japan
