The project with Terashima Records and Italian pianist Alessandro Galati started in 2018. The start of the project, “Shades of Sounds”, won the “Jazz Audio Disc Award”. Later, his solo work “Augustine” (TYR1076) and his first live recording “Live from the Inside Out” (TYR1077) were released at the same time. At the same time, he commissioned Stefano Amelio to remaster Terashima Records’ original recordings, and after a series of collaborations with the Italian jazz world, Yasukuni Terashima next turned his attention to vocalists. Following Susan Tobocman from the U.S. and Sarah McKenzie from Australia, the third diva is Elle from Italy. Galati discovered her singing in a local jazz club, and producer Terashima fell in love with her voice.
