Keiko Lee, who has established herself as the No. 1 jazz vocalist in terms of popularity and ability both in Japan and abroad, celebrates the 25th anniversary of her debut. This year also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the opening of jazz inn LOVELY, a long-established jazz club in Nagoya, which is the starting point of Keiko Lee’s activities. The live recording of Keiko Lee Live at jazz inn LOVELY, which was held on her birthday in February of this commemorative year. The members of the band are well-known musicians such as Kanekazu Nojiki (p), Akira Okazawa (b), and Yuichi Tokashiki (d), and the performance was heated and exciting. This is Keiko Lee’s third live recording since “Live at Basie – With Hank Jones” released in 2006, and it fully captures the mature period of one of Japan’s leading jazz divas.
