This is the first recording project of Alkan, one of the most prodigious geniuses of the Romantic school, who was buried in the history of Paris in the 19th century, although he was admired along with Chopin and Liszt. The core of this project is Arcand’s important works “12 Exercises in All Minor Keys, Op. 39,” Nos. 4-7, each of which is an independent exercise, but can be played as a symphony when played in succession. Recorded in April 2015.
