This is the first studio album in three years by U.D.O., led by German metal guru Udo Dirkschneider, since their last album “Steelfactory” (2018). Between the last album and this one, U.D.O. released an anomalous album with an orchestra, but this is the first studio album under the name U.D.O. as a pure band. The band released its first single “Metal Never Dies” prior to the album release. As the title suggests, the song is overflowing with the life and beliefs of leader and frontman Udo Dirkschneider, and the fact that he is able to make such a good match between the title and the song is a feat only possible because he has spent his life walking the metal path. The album is a must-have for fans of the band, and is packed with dynamic German metal music that is both fast and furious.In addition to his U.D.O. activities, Udo has recently started a band under the name DIRKSCHNEIDER & THE OLD GANG with former ACEPT allies Peter Valdes and Stefan Kaufmann, and continues to be at the forefront of the music scene with a vitality and creativity that is hard to believe for someone who will soon be 70 years old.
