This latest album is a surprise release, less than a year after the previous album “Lover”, which debuted at number one in the US and UK charts. On this emergency release, Taylor says, “Most of the things I had planned to do this summer didn’t happen after all. But I was able to do something I hadn’t planned. That is this eighth studio album, Folklore. Until this year, I think I was overthinking the perfect time to release new music. But now that I have been reminded once again that nothing is guaranteed in this time in which we live, I have decided that if I can create a piece of music that I like, I will just send it out into the world,” commented Aaron Dessner, producer. The album was produced by Aaron Dessner (The National) and Jack Antonoff, with Bon Iver as a guest. The latest single “Cardigan” is included. This product will be available for purchase on Friday, and will be delivered on or after the day of release.
