[This is a live recording by the duo of Shoyuki Akutagawa (piano) and Hiroshi Yoshino (bass). The recording is a typical Aketa’s Discs work, with such “human” episodes as the joy of new recording equipment, the fact that he was suffering from otitis media, and the fact that the audience all left before the second stage. Moreover, the first pressing of the album was so difficult to hear that it was all discarded and remade, which is extremely impressive.” Aketagawa says, “It’s for the reluctant musician who loves the subtleties of improvisation. This is a work that you will want to listen to, as it will slowly sink in. Originally released in 1985. World’s first CD release, digitally remastered in 2019. New commentary included.
