This is the debut album by Nocturna, a gothic/symphonic metal band from Italy formed by two female vocalists, Grace Darkling and Lane Stillnight. Little is known about Nocturna, except for Grace, who has a powerful voice and has been a guest vocalist for FUROR GALLICO, and Lane, a soprano vocalist who works as a solo singer and a model. Their identities are shrouded in mystery. They use the stage names Antares (B), Hedon (G), and Deimos (Ds). However, their playing ability suggests that they are quite skillful. The sound of the band is gothic metal with a female vocalist, which has many deep-rooted fans in Japan, and yet has a symphonic metal sound. The band’s aesthetic beauty and gorgeous, grandiose sound can be enjoyed. The music video for “New Evil” from their debut album has already been released. According to the credits, all the songs on the album were written by Federico Mondelli of Frozen Crown. Federico is also involved in Nocturna, directing the art and music videos. His label is Scarlet in Italy.Scarlet has produced many bands with female vocalists in the past. The recording engineer for this album was Andrea Fusini, who also worked on Scarlet’s previous releases.
