Megadeth
:
Their fifth album, released in 1992. This was the second album featuring the “golden era” lineup of Marty Friedman and Nick Menza. Perhaps Mustaine’s anger had subsided somewhat, as the band shifted from complex, high-speed thrash metal to a heavy, groovy, and catchy style. This landmark hit album became the biggest commercial success of Megadeth’s career. Instead of relying on speed, many tracks emphasize heavy riffs and melodic hooks, making this a highly accessible album. It features numerous live staples, including “Skino’MyTeeth,” with Nick Menza’s electrifying intro, and “Symphony of Destruction,” which always brings the entire venue roaring with chants of “Megadeth!”
