This is a recording of his solo live performance at Billboard Live Tokyo in Roppongi, Tokyo to celebrate the release of his first solo album in 27 years, “Brown, White &Black,” which was released in January. Featuring drums, bass, guitar, 2 keyboards, 2 chorus members, and a 9-member horn section, the sound played by KERA in a black hat and suit, just like the CD jacket, is old-timey jazz from the 40s and 50s. The 18-song set includes new works and covers of Bacharach’s “What’s New Pussycat? (What’s good, kitten?),” which was featured on Long Vacation, Yutten’s “Mundane World Explorers,” and S-KEN’s “Rose Colors. The contents are gorgeous and somewhat nostalgic, different from the usual live house. Double paper jacket with 16-page booklet.
