This is the first new album (8th album in total) in 8 years by the 5-piece melodic metal band “Manticora” from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. This concept album is based on the horror novel of the same title as the album, “To Kill to Live to Kill” (319 pages), created by vocalist “Lars F. Larsen”. It is composed of three separate stories about a young man with a cursed sword, a paid hitman, and a deranged psychopath, and the end of these three is revealed at the end. This concept album is then presented as the first part of this work. The second part, which will be released later next year, will be an album that builds a single worldview. The producer is Jacob Hansen, who has worked with many bands including “Avantasia,” “Pretty Maze,” “Primal Fear,” and “Amaranth.
