A collection of Richard Strauss songs sung by young soprano Louise Alder, who studied at the Royal Academy of Music, received the Kiri Te Kanawa Scholarship, and won numerous awards after winning the 2013 Kathleen Ferrier Competition. The album brings together several of Strauss’ songs and gives them conceptual titles. His youthful voice embodies the ideal Strauss envisioned (singing with his wife Pauline when they were married); he is a promising rising star who represented England at the 2017 Cardiff International Competition, where he won the audience prize.Naxos Japan
