Koki Kuroiwa was born in 1992. After graduating at the top of his class from the Department of Piano at Tokyo University of the Arts, he went on to complete a master’s degree at the same university. She has won many prizes, including the first prize in the piano section of the 11th Tokyo Music Competition and the Audience Prize, the 19th Matsukata Hall Music Award (first prize), and the first prize in the piano section of the 84th Japan Music Competition. This is the long-awaited debut recording of this talented pianist, who is active as a soloist, chamber musician, and ensemble pianist. His technique and music in the “Passion Sonata” and other small pieces already show that he is one of the next generation’s great pianists. This is the debut of an exceptional young talent.
