Jun Kajiwara 4th album under his solo name after 10 yearsA superb ensemble of three acoustic guitarsIn the fall of 2018, Jun Kajiwara and DEPAPEPE toured live together as “JDP” for the first time in a long time. DEPAPEPE is an acoustic guitar duo unit that was formed after I became a fan of their performances when I used to play with Yoshiyuki Asano butcher on the guitar. Prior to the JDP tour, I wrote some new songs because I thought they would be more meaningful as a unit if they were written as JDP. We completed a few more songs during the tour, and continued writing after the tour was over, eventually completing 15 or 6 songs. So many songs were created that were composed and arranged to be completed with three acoustic guitars. Many of the songs were not performed live, and it is not often that three acoustic guitarists have the opportunity to perform them together.Thinking about it, as a guitar duo, it is easy to play a song as a session idea as long as the melody and chords are fixed, but there are surprisingly few chances to play a song constructed for three guitars, and it seemed to me that there are not many such songs or arrangements. Convinced that it would be meaningful to preserve these songs as works of art, we began work on the album. Although some dubbing was done, the skeleton of each song is built with three guitars. DEPAPEPE participated in two of the songs, while the others were dubbed and recorded by Jun Kajiwara alone. Sheet music for each part, minus one karaoke, etc. will also be presented.
