Yuzuru Sakimoto, one of Japan’s leading harmonica players, celebrated her 50th anniversary as a musician in 2017. The second album to commemorate this anniversary is a collaboration with Haruki Mino, a longtime musical collaborator who plays piano and composes and arranges music together. This “golden duo” performs Foster’s masterpieces and American popular favorites as if they were original harmonica pieces. Including a work written by Mino for this CD and an unaccompanied work by Chieko Miyamae, this CD is a compilation of all the works on the chromatic harmonica.
