The first album “THE UNSTABLE MOLECULE”, a highly acclaimed masterpiece released in 1997, which has long been difficult to find in Japan, will finally be reissued in 2017, the 20th anniversary of its release. The cool sound of the album, which made full use of post-production, which was not yet common at the time, and exquisitely blended jazz, funk, dub, and ambient music, was like music of the future, and gave a sense of new possibilities in music, which has not aged at all today. Included is “La Jute,” which can be considered the original version of “Jetty,” a hauche classic from Tortoise’s “TNT” (1998).
