[Originale Series] The “Sounds of the Times” of Bach and Mozart. Long-awaited re-release of rare original instrumental performance recordings by Teldec, Erato, former Virgin Classics and former EMI! Selected performances on original instruments. Original jackets are used whenever possible. Joint performance by the Hilliard Ensemble, the Hanover Boys Choir, and additional instrumentalists from the London Baroque. The concerto style was used, with the chorus and one person from each part combining to bring out the superb harmonies. The Hilliard Ensemble also performed at ECM in 2004 with only one vocalist per part, but this recording by the former Reflexe is a surprisingly little-known masterpiece. ●First domestic release ●Includes commentary, lyrics, and bilingual translation ●Date of recording: 1984
