The analog recordings are the latest remastered recordings from analog masters made by Abbey Road Studios and other overseas studios. The front cover uses the original overseas cover design. Commentary included. One of the first recordings of Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic. This is one of the earliest recordings of Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic, and is a well-reputed masterpiece that skillfully drives the Berlin Philharmonic, which has outstanding performance skills, and brings out their abilities. This is the only session recording of “Matisse the Painter” by Karajan. Karajan’s outstanding direction shines through as well as Bartók’s.
