Harumi Shibayama, a soprano with a voice that shines as softly as silver light, has released her first CD with lute player Takashi Tsunoda. The title of the CD, “Romance,” refers to a story that has been sung by Spanish minstrels since the Middle Ages, and has become a favorite among the people. The title of the CD is “Romance,” a story song that has been sung by bards and loved by the people of Spain since the Middle Ages. The CD includes “Romances de Valdobinos” by Luis de Milan, a bihuela player active during the reign of King Felipe II, who represented the golden age of Spain; folk songs from Catalonia, such as “Song of the Birds” introduced by cellist Casals, which became world famous; folk songs from Andalusia, compiled by the playwright and poet García Lorca; and “Romances of the Birds” by the composer and composer, Gerard Dorado, who was a member of the Spanish National Anthem Society. Andalusian folk songs, and songs by the classical guitar composer Sol, whose song collection is titled Seguidilla, a folk dance. The collection also includes a group of songs called Vilancicos, which were composed in the 16th century by court composers who arranged folk songs of the time into their own works.
