Description
The Goldring D145SR is the original replacement stylus for the Goldring Elan moving magnet cartridge. The Elan was a popular entry-level cartridge in Goldring’s range, offering a straightforward and musical performance that made it a common choice as a factory-fitted cartridge on budget to mid-range turntables.
Stylus Design
The D145SR features a spherical (conical) diamond tip, which provides a forgiving and consistent tracking performance across a wide range of record conditions. The spherical profile makes it less sensitive to precise alignment than elliptical alternatives, making it particularly well suited to simpler tonearms where precise cartridge setup may be limited.
Compatibility
This stylus is a direct replacement for the Goldring Elan cartridge body. It is not compatible with other Goldring cartridge ranges such as the current E Series (E1, E2, E3, E4) or the 10xx series. The Elan has been discontinued and is no longer part of Goldring’s current lineup, but this replacement stylus allows existing Elan owners to continue using their cartridge.
