This is the fifth jazzy yet pop album by the Yasukiko Toyama Trio. The ensemble, led by Yasukiko Toyama (p) and featuring Munayuki Sekiguchi (b) and Masaki Akiba (dr), is a permanent band with a more stable and organically connected ensemble, but this album also suggests a more challenging direction. The title track, “Tres Trick,” is the first track on the new album. The album includes the title track “Tres Trick (TONGARI)” and other songs that appeal to a wide range of musical tastes.
