[Leonard Bernstein (1918.8.25-1990.10.14) was a star conductor who shared popularity with Karajan in the 20th century.) His passionate, emotionally charged, and soulful performances drew the sympathies of many, and he was loved by many with a charismatic following. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, 50 titles are being released in a limited edition in UHQCD format with green color label coating and sound quality specifications. The performance is dedicated to Bernstein’s beloved wife, actress Felicia Montealegre, on the 10th anniversary of her death, and is the only recording of his Mozart Requiem. Instead of the traditional Jussmeyer edition, the Beyer edition, which is said to have cleared up the calligraphic and technical errors, is used. This is a live performance in a church with emotion, and the deep and rich expression makes it sound solemn and magnificent. Special program for the 120th anniversary of DG [Performances] Marie McLaughlin (soprano I), Maria Ewing (soprano II), Jerry Hadley (tenor), Cornelius Hauptmann (bass), Bavarian Radio Chorus (Chorus Conductor: Wolfgang Seeliger), Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra Leonard Bernstein, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Recorded live in Diesen, July 1988
