The ideal match for the Wharfedale EVO 5 range, the EVO 5.C combines top quality within a compact casing. With the same drive units as the EVO 5.1 and 5.3 speakers, the centre speaker carries consistent tonality across the sound stage – meaning you’re less aware of the speakers themselves and more of the sound itself.

Sparkling yet smooth top-end
Developed from Wharfedale’s high-end Elysian project, the EVO 5.C’s AMT (Air Motion Transformer) delivers a superbly-balanced top-end response. Using a pleated diaphragm that ‘squeezes’ and ‘expands’ the air, the AMT system moves four times more air than a traditional dome tweeter. This reduces distortion, letting the most subtle treble detail shine through. To help further reduce distortion, the 5 Series features new Silentweave and ResoFrame dampers, helping to absorb distortion for an even cleaner sound.

Lifelike dialogue
Using twin 130mm Kevlar woofer cones, the EVO 5.C delivers accurate sound throughout the mid-range and bass. Brilliantly suited to a centre speaker, the drivers feature ResoFrame and ResoSeal dampers, helping to reduce distortion to the lowest levels possible. This means that they reveal every subtle nuance of dialogue, making even the most complex soundtracks easy to follow.

Smooth, punchy bass
Although the centre speaker focuses on mid-range, it still needs to carry dynamic weight across the soundstage – linking the left and right speakers with sequences such as heavy gun fire or a jet flying from right to left. For this reason, the EVO 5.C uses twin woofers, with powerful magnets to produce all the necessary firepower across a wide stage.

Smooth, stylish design, available in a range of colours
Built from a sandwich of materials, the low resonance cabinet is optimised for the largest internal volume, without dominating your room. The smoothly contoured design is available in a range of traditional and contemporary finishes. Choose the walnut wood veneer option to best blend with wood furniture, or choose between matte black, matte white and matte Lunar Grey for a fresh new aesthetic.
