Description
The Veer Union is a dynamic alternative metal band from Vancouver, Canada, consisting of lead singer/songwriter/producer Crispin Earl, guitarist Ryan Ramsdell, drummer Ricardo Viana, and bassist Glen Bridon. Known for blending hard-hitting riffs with emotional depth, the band burst onto the scene in 2008 after signing with Universal Records America, making waves with their breakout single “Seasons,” which cracked the Top 10 on Active Rock Radio in both the U.S. and Canada. Since then, they’ve sold over 150,000 albums, racked up more than 200 million streams worldwide, and landed 12 songs in the Billboard Rock Radio Top 40.
Their 2018 album Decade II marked a major evolution in their sound. Featuring four Billboard-charting singles, the standout track “Living Not Alive” climbed to #21 on the U.S. Billboard charts and has earned over 20 million streams, along with 2 million YouTube views. The album has since surpassed 37 million Spotify streams and sold over 10,000 units independently.
Following an intense touring run with Red, Puddle of Mudd, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Alesana, and Saliva, the band released Covers Collection Vol. 1, featuring a viral reimagining of Halsey’s “Nightmare.” The cover quickly hit 1 million YouTube views in its first month, peaked at #25 on Billboard, and crossed 10 million streams across all platforms.
In 2020, The Veer Union launched the Quarantine Collaborations project, leading to a December 2021 album that delivered three Billboard-charting singles and topped 9 million streams in just three weeks.
They kept the momentum going in 2022 with Manifestations, another high-octane release that saw tracks like “Standing My Ground” and “From The Fire In You” land on key Spotify editorial playlists, including Kick Ass Metal and Adrenaline Workout. “Standing My Ground” also debuted at #1 on the Newcore playlist. With over 16 million streams and a successful North American tour, the album solidified the band’s staying power.
In 2023, they followed up with Covers Collection Vol. 2, showcasing bold reimaginings of tracks by Tiësto, The Weeknd, My Chemical Romance, and Linkin Park—once again proving their range and creativity.
2024 saw the release of Life Support 1 & 2 (2013–2020), a curated collection of previously unreleased tracks from the Life Support Vol. 1 era, remixed and remastered for today’s sound. That same year, they dropped the 8-track EP WELCOME TO DYSTOPIA, featuring singles like “IS THIS HOW IT ENDS?”, “WELCOME TO DYSTOPIA” (feat. Silent Theory), and “NO EXCUSE.” The project once again landed on multiple major editorial playlists and was met with critical acclaim.
In June 2025, after months of anticipation, The Veer Union announced their signing to Arising Empire Records, alongside the reveal of their upcoming full-length album Reinvention, slated for release in late 2025.
Looking ahead to 2026, the band is preparing for an expansive North American and European tour, promising to deliver the explosive, genre-blending rock shows that have become their trademark.
The Veer Union is scheduled to tour both North America and Europe in 2025, continuing their legacy of high-energy performances and plan to continue the new music campaign into the first quarter of 2026.
