Sopot is a town on the Baltic Sea in northern Poland. In July of this year, a solo piano concert was held in the open-air garden of the Sopot Museum, a historical museum in the town where Sławek lives. The concert was not intended to be made into an album, and although it was recorded just in case, Swavek was astonished when he listened to the sound again. The sound of birdsong, seagulls, and other birds in the garden, as well as the voices of children in the audience, blended so exquisitely and beautifully with the piano that Swavek was astonished. The resonance between the birdsong and the piano set with his own modulator was particularly wonderful, and the decision was made quickly to make an album of it. The title “BIRDS” was initially proposed, but the decision was made to release the album under the title “FLYING LIVE,” which also implies a beautiful floating sensation. After a meticulous and repeated mixing process, a magical sound world was born, overflowing with Swavek’s unique sensibility. This is piano music that has reached a new horizon of ambient extremes. Four of the five songs on the album are motifs from the “Sea” and “Into the Dream Part II” albums.
