Septura
:
The fifth album by the popular brass ensemble Septura is a collection of French music from the early 20th century. During this period, many solo wind pieces were written, but few of them were chamber music. The members of “Septoula” skillfully arranged works by Ravel, Fauré, and Debussy, and entertain us with their truly rich sound. The exquisite sound of the orchestral version of “Ma mère roi,” the series of songs by Fauré in which the trumpet and trombone play an unlimited role, and Debussy’s “Preludes,” written for piano and clothed in gorgeous sounds, all of these works are completely familiar to everyone. All of them have a completely different flavor from the original music that everyone is familiar with.Naxos Japan
