“Twistin’ The Night Away” is Sam Cooke’s tenth studio album, originally released in 1962. Sam Cooke was the most important soul singer in history, its primary inventor, and its most popular and beloved performer in both the Black and white communities. Equally important, he was among the first Black performers and composers to attend to the business side of the music business, founding both a record label and a publishing company as an extension of his careers as a singer and composer.
“Twistin’ The Night Away” is arguably one of Sam Cooke’s best bodies of work to date, containing some of their most popular songs to date such as “Twistin’ the Night Away” and “Somebody’s Gonna Miss Me” This album is a must have for any fan of the Rhythm & Blues scene.
