The band’s tour was temporarily interrupted by the sudden death of guitarist Randy Rhodes, and on April 1, Bernie Torme, formerly of Gillan, joined the tour and resumed his activities, but he was fired after only five shows because he did not fit the band. The tour with Brad Gilles, who was a favorite of Ozzy Osbourne, was highly acclaimed, and the April 28 show in Memphis was immediately recorded and broadcast as a special program on a local radio station. The Memphis show on April 28 was recorded and broadcast as a special program on a local radio station, and the audio master from this broadcast was used for this release. Brad Gills’ guitar playing, which shows none of the pressure of replacing Randy Rhodes, enlivens the concert. This is a rare live archive of Brad Gills’ career and a missing piece in the history of Black Sabbath, as the only live albums from his tenure with the band have been those featuring only Black Sabbath songs.Imported domestic edition (with obi and bilingual English commentary)Ozzy Osbourne(vo)Brad Gills (g)Don Airey(kbds)Rudy Sarzo(b)Tommy Aldridge(ds)
