The world’s oldest classical label, Deutsche Grammophon, which boasts a history of over 120 years, and Decca (including the former Philips), which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2019 and is home to conductor Seiji Ozawa, pianist Mitsuko Uchida, and other greats. The series of evergreen masterpieces from both Decca and Philips labels will be released! We conducted a survey of about 25,000 people in the classical music industry and members of our newsletter. The campaign will release 100 titles, 20 in each genre, every two weeks. The campaign features Schubert’s last piano sonata No. 21, a work of rare grandeur and seemingly endless lyric beauty, and the “Musikalische Hochschule,” a collection of lovely pieces filled with improvisation.
