This is an excellent collection of Kabalevsky’s orchestral works other than his famous “Clown’s Gallop”. Although not so well known except for the overture to “Kola Brunyon,” which is occasionally performed by brass bands, the audience can enjoy his very accessible style, which seems to have been boiled down to the most listenable aspects of Russian music.Naxos Japan
