Product
HiFi Man EF1000 Valve Headphone Amplifier is the brand’s latest reference headphone amplifier and makes the ideal partner with HiFi Man’s HE-1000 headphones and all other high end headphones on the market.

Great Design
EF1000 is a hybrid headphone/speaker amplifier featuring an ultimate design that integrates 6 x 6922 tubes and 24 transistors for a powerful and lively response.

HiFi Man excels at enhancing the headphone listening experience and the EF1000 is no exception. The brand pioneered the use of orthodynamic technology for their drivers, as opposed to the more conventional dynamic technology.

Compatibility
With a headphone model as advanced as, for example, the HE-6, it is crucial that it is driven by a powerful, high-calibre headphone amplifier. The EF1000 brilliantly answers this demand.

The perfect combination of tube sound and huge output power – the HiFiMAN EF1000……

The HiFiMAN EF1000 headphone amplifier can drive even the least sensitive of headphones. What’s more, the EF1000 can handle even super low-efficiency headphones.

The EF1000 is a hybrid design, achieving 20W of pure Class A power output into a 35 Ohm headphone output, 50W of pure Class A into 8ohms and 110 W of Class A/B (8 ohm load) thanks to its unique design.

The amplifier circuitry uses six 6922 tubes and six pairs of transmitters with a separate power source.

The volume control system is based on the same advanced design as the top audiophile model Shangri-La, ensuring smooth operation and ultra-low distortion.

Functionality

The headphone amplifier is a very often underestimated part of a stereo headphone system. Its influence on the sound of high class headphones is essential.

Within headphone circles, those individuals with a lot of headphone knowledge and practice, there is a belief that an amplifier can cost the equivalent of the headphones themselves, and even more if you are looking for the absolute in sound quality.

Therefore, it is a very common practice to buy headphone systems, i.e. a combination of headphones with a current and sonically matched amplifier.

The common practice of using headphone outputs is also the main reason why people often invest in high-end headphones, ignoring the amplifier, which is simply identified with the only visible element in the form of a headphone output.

Meanwhile, the key element to understand is that headphone amplifier is a full-fledged element of the headphone system, just like a stereo amplifier connected to stereo speakers.
