This is the second album by “Closeness Ensemble of Kyoto,” a group formed by Joji Sawada (cb), a musician outside the norm, and Masakatsu Takagi (pf), Ryo Watanabe (per), and Takayoshi Baba (g), all of whom have ties to the ancient city. Here is a miraculous moment when the roles of the four musicians are brought to life and become a filter for an unknown presence brought about by a sound universe that echoes in the silence of the earth.
