Our powerhouse: The Cayin CS-100A with a KT-88 assembly for the output stage.
We bring 80 watts per channel in the class AB ultra-linear mode and 2 x 50 watts in Class A triode mode – a quite exceptional performance for a tube amplifier.
In addition to the KT88 output tubes , the voltage amplification is handled by carefully selected 6SN7, and for the phase inversion and the voltage gain 12AU7EH are used.
The output tubes are controlled via a driver stage with hand picked 12BH7EH.
Also on the remaining design components, no compromise is made – there are top quality discrete components used throughout the entire amplifier, ensuring that each and every album is played to the listener with a true sparkle and magic.
The remote controllable volume comes from an uber high quality Japanese Alps unit, the capacitors are optimised specifically for audio applications, and the film resistors have the lowest tolerances and all are hand matched for sonic perfection.
There is also a bespoke hand wound, high-quality toroidal transformer in the power supply.
The result of these innovations is a amplifier that punches, way, way above it’s weight, and offers the listener an incredibly addictive and beguiling soundstage – holographic with a realism that puts the hairs on the back of your neck on attention !
