Cartas Celestes” by Almeida Prado, which means “celestial chart” in Japanese. It is a collection of several small pieces, each less than a minute long, condensed together, and each piece is a true “constellation heard through sound,” with its own meaning of mythology, the sky, darkness, color, and approach to the universe. The third collection includes four collections of pieces representing celestial bodies visible in the Brazilian night sky, two of which are world premiere recordings. Pianists must explore all kinds of resonances and timbres using a new harmonic scheme called “transtonality,” and the young Brazilian pianist Alayson Skopel fulfills this need perfectly, allowing the listener to lose himself in a flood of dazzlingly beautiful sounds. The listener can lose himself in a flood of dazzlingly beautiful sounds.Naxos Japan
