2 MANY DJS/Soulwax, the Diwara brothers Stefan and David, have taken the world by storm with their unique style of mashups, swallowing up all genres. Their newly launched label “DEEWEE” released their first showcase compilation in 2015! The opening track, “Bear With Me,” is an up-and-coming track that was also featured on Soulwax’s recent work. Bear With Me” is a new song written especially for this compilation. James Leighton, formerly of the Claxons, also warehoused “Release Party,” a song scheduled to be included on the next album. Kranken, the label’s first release, extra credits to Hot Chip’s Joe and Justin Strauss & Marcus Marr, and Brazilian newcomers Filippi & Hodrigo, as well as a whole host of other hot songs. Soulwax contributes five songs, including the EMS-using Cosmic Killer, which made a big splash last year.The entrance is smooth, pop and sophisticated, yet electronic, cosmic, electro, pseudo-tribal, humorous, twisted and anything else, generally restrained in BPM and tension, and this crazy sense is unique.
