The second vocalist, Ronnie James Dio, left to form his own band, Dio, and Ian Gillan, formerly of Deep Purple, joined the band to complete the new album, “The Devil’s Bastard,” and began a tour. During the North American tour, the November 4 concert in Worcester, Massachusetts was recorded and broadcast for local FM stations. This album release is based on the audio master. The set list for that day was 11 songs including encores, so the concert was recorded in its entirety. The Black Sabbath numbers sung by Ian Gillan, whose vocal style differs from that of the two predecessors, can truly be called “Deep Sabbath. It is also a rare opportunity to hear “Smoke on the Water” from Black Sabbath! Imported domestic edition with bilingual English commentary and obi.
