[Reiji Asakura Selection SA-CD to SHM Masterpieces 50] The SA-CD to SHM specification series has been released since 2010. From the approximately 200 titles that have been released in paper jackets, audio/visual critic Reiji Asakura has carefully selected 50 titles. The single-layer, green-label discs have been retained, but the case has been changed to a standard case and the price has been reduced to a reasonable level. Please take this opportunity to try the “sound of another dimension”. The “Life of a Hero” by Böhm, a master of the past who was a close friend of R. Strauss. The grand scale of Böhm’s late period, the full sound of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and the colorful addition of Hetzel on solo violin, all make this a masterful performance with a sound of the good old days that cannot be experienced today. The DSD master produced in 2012 at Emil Berliner Studios in Germany was used from the original DG analog master.
