Description

Marshall Allen has been a core member of the Sun Ra Arkestra since the 1950s and has led the group since 1995. In 2022, he launched the Ghost Horizons ensemble — a boundary-pushing project featuring Arkestra guitarist DMHOTEP and a rotating cast of collaborators including Immanuel Wilkins, Yo La Tengo’s James McNew, James Brandon Lewis, Charlie Hall of The War on Drugs, members of Wolf Eyes, and others.

This release brings together recordings from nine live shows, lovingly compiled and shaped into a panoramic journey through the outer reaches of sound and improvisation.
