Description

C-079 (IEC)

The C-079 is a true reference-grade connector employing super thick (0.2micron) 24k gold-plating directly applied on the polished surface of receptacle and blade. The polishing process is then again (twice) carried out on the phosphor bronze surfaces. The combination and thicknesses of plating, and the quality of the polishing, are carefully controlled to maximise sound quality. Where rhodium sounds pure and strong, gold sounds warm and luxurious: truly a wonderful-sounding connector.

P-079 (UL)

The surface of the P-079 is thoroughly polished TWICE. Then, a super thick (1.5 micron) 24K Gold layer is plated directly onto this polished surface, and the polishing process is again applied twice. Next, the Oyaide P-079 receives the final Palladium plating (0.3 micron), and is again polished twice. The combination of these polishing processes, platings, and thicknesses of platings ultimately leads to the final sound character.

For the body of the Oyaide P-079, Oyaide has chosen high density PBT, mixed with 30% glass filler. This combination was used to maximize rigidity, thermal stability and provide high resonance absorption. The outer shell is Polycarbonate.

P-079e (Schuko)

The contacts are made of bronze phosphor with double polishing and 24K gold plating to ensure best conductivity. In addition, the tightening system (screw) accepts large conductors types (up to 6mm in diameter).

The whole system is protected by a robust capsule made of 30% glass fiber. A wide clamp is used to secure the cable and prevent movement while allowing large cable diameters (up to 17mm).
